Kedah and Perlis Blood Banks Are Running Low. Here’s How You Can Help

The shortage is partly due to the high amount of volume used during the recent Hari Raya festive season, which reportedly leaves the current blood supply reserve to only 500 pints.
The department’s director, Datuk Dr Norhizan Ismail, told the news portal that they are desperately in need of around 800 pints of Type A and Type B blood to help stabilise the supply.
So, how can you help?
The Northern Region Blood Centre has amplified its efforts to increase their reserve through various blood donation drives.You can help them by donating your blood at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB), the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital (HSAH) in Kedah, and the Tunku Fauziah Hospital in Perlis.
