As we patiently count the days towards Hari Raya, many families are in the midst of preparing for the joyous celebration. We can see that malls are highly preoccupied especially during the weekends as everyone is frantically doing some last-minute shopping.

The amount of money spent during this particular month may be a little extra compared to other months, but for Selangor civil servants, they may not have to worry about their cashflow when making Raya preparations.

The Selangor Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has announced on Tuesday that all Selangor civil servants will be receiving two months’ worth of Hari Raya financial aid for the upcoming festivity.

A total of 17,703 state civil servants will receive part of RM63.3 million allocated for them.

Those eligible can expect to receive their ‘duit Raya’ on June 21^st.

“This is a token of appreciation to the civil servants for their commitment and dedication in promoting and developing the state,” he told Astro Awani.

“And this is based on the current financial performance and that is why we have agreed to provide assistance to civil servants.”
